Chris Sarquilla

Chris has been in-line skating and break-dancing for many years and wanted to improve his coordination and development. In 2002 he came to Spokane Elite Gymnastics to work on flips and quickly adopted a love for the sport and showed proficiency with tumbling. Since then he self-taught himself many advanced skills which drew the attention of staff at Spokane Elite Gymnastics.

One day, while at Spokane Elite Gymnastics doing some maintenance work to pay for his lessons, Chris offered to coach a class to fill in for an absent instructor. He was so popular that Chris immediately was given a position as a substitute coach which quickly grew into a permanent job. Chris has completed training and conferences throughout the Northwest and is a certified compulsory judge. He has been 1st Aid and CPR certified, and is Pro Member and USAG safety certified. He has also work with big names in gymnastics such as Mas Watanabe, Dr. Bill Sands and former Olympian Brett McClure.

Since then he has taught acrobats for break-dancing, cheerleading, parkour, flips for martial arts, snowboarding, skiing, wake-boarding, professional stunt men and gymnastics up to level 8 Boys and Girls USAG.

He is excited about coaching advanced gymnastics, up through level 10. Chris has an ambitious vision for the boys and girls teams and his long-term goal is to progress the competitive program past the regional level.

Chris serves as a member of the Spokane Elite Gymnastics management crew and is the floor supervisor whose duties include maintaining a safe and fun environment, assisting with spotting, and oversight of SEG staff's continuing education.
