Here at Seattle Gymnastics Academy we strive to provide the very best service to our customers. Here are some things to keep in mind.
Safety:
For the comfort and safety of our gymnasts, instructors at SGA are certified in USA Gymnastics and Heads Up! Concussion Training, have regular national background checks, and are trained in CPR and first aid.
Even with highly trained instructors, is impossible to eliminate the danger in gymnastics. A gymnast could be seriously injured while participating in gymnastics.
Gymnastics is inherently dangerous because it is physically demanding and immovable equipment creates the risk of injury. While most injuries are minor, some can be extremely serious: severe pain, broken bones, damage to internal organs, and in extreme cases, total paralysis or death can result from landing improperly on the head, neck, or back.
If you have a specific safety concern, we are happy to discuss it. Please talk to one of our coaches or a registrar.
Registration & Payment Procedures:
To better serve our families, we offer Continuous Enrollment for all our classes.
Continuous Enrollment means:
- Once registered, your class slot is held until your child is promoted, you choose to move to a different day/time, or you wish to drop.
- We have replaced large lump sum payments with smaller, manageable monthly payments.
- Families only pay a one-time registration fee of $55.
- Monthly tuition is based on an annual average so your automatic payments stay the same each month.
- Can’t make it to class? We offer unlimited make-ups for currently enrolled students at our Gym Times and Indoor Playground.
- SGA track skills and your child’s progress. We will facilitate promotions by tracking the gymnasts ready to move up and adjust our schedules accordingly throughout the year. There is no waiting until the end of a session to move up.
How To Pay:
We now offer easy monthly payments! Payments are due by the 20th of each month before classes. Please note that we cannot hold spots without payment.
Automatic Withdraw and ACH: Automatic payments will be processed on the 20th of the month for the next month’s tuition. (Example: December classes will be billed November 20th.)
ACH: Please provide your bank account number and give consent for automatic monthly payments.
Credit: Please provide you credit card information and give consent for automatic monthly payments. We accept Visa and Mastercard, and there is a 3.5% surcharge for all credit card payments.
Cash and Check: You must be on Autopay and have either a checking account or debit/credit card on file with us but you are still welcome to pay with cash or check at the front desk. However, payments must be received by the 19th of each month before the class. Any balance still due on the account on the 20th will be processed on your checking account or your card on file.
Tuition & Rates:
Every month will be the same price regardless of how many classes are in the month. We calculate tuition based on the annual average.
We have moved to a one-time family registration fee of $55. This is a lifetime registration fee and will never need to be paid again.
Late Payments for Team and Seattle Preschool: SGA will charge a $25 a late fee for all payments made after the 1st of the month. If payments are not processed by the 20th of the next month, class spots will be offered to others.
Withdrawal: Drop forms are available at the front desk or can be downloaded from our website (seattlegymnastics.com). Drops must be in writing before the 1st of your last month. For example, if you wish to drop a class effective June 1st, the drop request should be received no later than May 1st.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept verbal drop notices.

Credits & Refunds:
SGA does not offer credits or refunds.
As a courtesy to our families, we will make exceptions for doctor-certified injuries or long-term illnesses.
To receive a refund for days missed because of long-term illness or injury:
o Present the front desk with a note from a licensed medical practitioner stating the injury or illness
o Date of the injury or illness
o Doctor’s Signature.
The student will be dropped from the activity and you will be issued a credit or refund from the date we receive the note. If we are presented with a doctor’s note after the activity has passed, we cannot issue credits or refunds.
However, if you wish to hold a spot in a specific gymnastics class, no credits or refunds can be given even in the case of injuries or illness.
Make-ups:
Make-ups are available to all children currently enrolled in classes. You may do as many as you need, as long as there is space available.
Indoor Playground is a fun hour in the gym where the child gets to explore all our gymnastics equipment with their parents or guardians there to supervise.
Gym time is a coach led, station oriented make-up for currently enrolled students 6+ years.
Registrars can answer any questions you have about make-up sessions and special circumstances.
Timeliness: If you arrive less than five minutes late, please join right in! Students more than five minutes late may also join in but will need to complete their stretching during the first event. The pad drill is designed to get the body ready for heavy work so for safety reasons; it is mandatory.
Allergies & Medical Conditions:
We happily accept any student regardless of allergies or medical conditions. Please let staff and instructors know of your child’s allergy or medical condition so SGA can provide the best support possible.
Photograph & Video Release:
SGA will regularly have photographers taking photos and videos for promotion, information, demonstrations, education and fundraising presentations.
Photographic, audio or video recordings may be used for the following purposes:
- Promotional presentations
- Informational demonstrations
- Educational demonstrations
- Fundraising presentations
Waiver Forms: SGA must have a electronically checked-off Waiver and Release Form for each child who goes out on the floor. A parent or legal guardian must complete this release.
Snow & Inclement Weather: We always plan to teach and have never closed because of snow.
