The Ballard Xcel Team had a great showing at the Great Wolf Lodge Invitational on January 27-28th. These athletes are showing continued growth in their skills, performance aptitude, mental toughness and sportsmanship. We couldn’t be more proud!

Our Silver level athletes took home first place as a team! 2 of our gymnasts in this group (Enza Johnson and Zoe Greenberg) placed in the top 10 competitors for the whole weekend out of 448 athletes total!

Our Gold level athletes took home second place as a team, missing first place by one TENTH of a point! Our own Dara Jimenez won the entire Gold division, out of 80 athletes, with a total all-around score of 37.2.

Our Platinum level athletes took home third place as a team, behind second place by one half of a tenth of a point, and only four tenths behind first! Both Sophie Hanay and Willow Berryessa took home first place in their respective age divisions and Sophie had the second highest all-around score in her session out of 47 gymnasts!
