Is your gymnast ready for the next set of challenges and interested in competing? Our USA Gymnastics (USAG) certified coaches work with gymnasts to develop the necessary skills to succeed in competitive gymnastics.
Programs in COMPETE at SGA have gymnasts working towards competing locally in our intramural leagues (Star League) and/or in our USAG / NGA sanctioned programs (XCEL), competing outside of SGA.
In addition to our USAG-sanctioned competitive programs, SGA has also partnered with the National Gymnastics Association (NGA) in effort to provide gymnasts with well-rounded competitive experiences and opportunities. Like us, NGA believes in a progressive, and positive program; allowing athletes of all ages and ability levels to achieve their own personal goals. Under one consistent set of rules and deductions based on skill-level appropriate criteria for all 10 levels (1 being beginner and 10 being college-bound), the NGA experience is designed to combine all levels of competitive gymnastics into one program that provides a fun, safe environment for every athlete.

Team Prep Program

Team Prep prepares gymnasts to transition from LEARN (recreational) classes to a competitive track in XCEL, building positive discipline while progressively working towards more advanced skills.
Intramural Star League

Recreationally competitive gymnasts in Star League develop teamwork, learn routines, and showcase their hard work at friendly intramural meets between the three SGA locations.
XCEL Competitive Program

XCEL is a USAG sanctioned program that offers an accessible, yet still challenging competitive experience. This program is great for those who love gymnastics, but also participate in other activities.
Trampoline & Tumbling (T&T) Team

A co-ed competitive track, Trampoline & Tumbling, often referred to as T&T, is an exciting gymnastics discipline all it’s own. For those who love to flip, events include trampoline, synchronized trampoline, double-mini trampoline and tumbling.
