Boys Team Head Coach – Ballard
An exciting opportunity in our USAG Men’s Junior Development Program, SGA Ballard is looking for an experienced, positive Coach to lead our Boys Team.

SGA Team Coaches are responsible for:
- Demonstrating a commitment to a safe, positive environment where our athletes can compete, develop, and flourish.
- Creating your own lesson plans and tracking skill development. We provide the resources, but you get to be creative in how you want to teach your gymnasts. We offer state-of-the-art equipment – both on the gymnastics floor and technology – so you have the tools you need to be successful.
- Coaching a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Follows SGA Mission, Vision and Values
- Communicates to front desk and marketing regarding programming
- Meet scheduling
- Continually assess program for success
- Markets program internally and externally
- SGA Invitational Meet support
- Works with other site Program Directors on overall gym programming and consistency as well as curriculum development
- Participates in National Gymnastics Day and supports at least one other event annually
- Communicating with SGA parents about their child’s progression in your classes. Our coaches play a key role in their development as a child and as an athlete.
- Participating in our paid training opportunities. This can include our SGA University courses, USA Gymnastics clinics, sessions offered by our in-house SGA trainers, and more!
- Assist in light cleaning and sanitation duties to keep our gyms fresh and ready for the next round of classes.
- Performs other duties as assigned
SGA is looking for:
- 2 years experience successfully supervising staff either at SGA or elsewhere
- All necessary USAG certifications for Men’s Junior Development Program
- Knowledge or experience as a gymnast is required
- Previous youth coaching or mentor experience preferred
- Ability / willingness to coach a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with both youth and adults.
- Enthusiastic about working with youth – previous experience is preferred.
- Experience working in fast-paced, active environments
- Ability to resolve any conflict or disagreements that may arise.
- Desire to promote a positive learning environment for every child.
- Desire to grow and lead within SGA
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
