As a Member Services Leader (MSL), you will directly contribute to our company success in a meaningful way.

As part of SGA’s leadership team, the Member Services Leader needs to be organized and able to prioritize, be comfortable switching tasks based on business needs, and have great communication with both staff and the families we serve.

Don’t worry if you are new to gymnastics, we’ll provide all the training and tools you need. Anyone that has a background in hospitality or customer service management, but is looking for a change of pace with more stability, would be a great fit for this role. We emphasize career growth and support multiple paths for our MSLs within SGA, and beyond.

Member Services Leaders are responsible for:

  • Building positive relationships with our customers. This is a customer-facing role and it’s imperative that our customers can trust that our Member Services Team is here to greet and support them.
  • Remaining knowledgeable about our programming and what makes SGA unique. Our Member Services Team are our salespeople! We rely on you to educate our customers on the benefits of gymnastics and what makes SGA a great place for their child.
  • Helping oversee our Member Services Team at their SGA location to make sure they feel supported and knowing when to provide constructive feedback when applicable.
  • Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and training of new Member Services Team members with the goal of setting new hires up for long term success at SGA.
  • Resolving customer complaints, enrollment issues, or other situations that may arise in accordance with SGA’s mission, core values, policies & procedures.
  •  Completing daily, weekly and monthly enrollment and financial reports to drive sales, meet performance goals and maintain accurate account history records. Attention to detail is a must.
  • Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

SGA is looking for:

  • 2+ years experience in retail management, hospitality management or in similar customer service related field.
  • Must be approachable, attentive, and organized when working with youth, their families and members of the community.
  • Desire to work as part of an energetic team that is unified in our mission, vision, and values as a company.
  • Experience with POS systems, managing customer transactions, cash handling and completing bank deposits is required.
  • Experience having meaningful face-to-face and phone interactions with customers in a high-volume capacity is strongly preferred. Environment can be fast paced and active reaching high volume levels during peak business hours. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment with the ability to manage a team and give feedback when needed
  • Sales and product education focused with a “can-do” positive attitude is a must.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to prioritize and efficiently multi-task on a daily basis. 
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with both youth and adults. Must be enthusiastic about working with and around kids.
  • Ability to resolve any customer complaints, de-escalation skills a plus
  • Desire to promote a positive learning environment for every child. 
  • Assist in light cleaning duties to keep our gyms fresh and ready for the next round of classes.
  • Must be comfortable with various noise levels, depending on time of day, it can be active
  • The ability to walk on uneven surfaces as is deemed necessary to walk out onto the gymnastics floor
