    REPORTS TO

    Team Director

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Follows SGA Mission, Vision and Values
    • Coaches vault, bars, and floor tumbling, and progressing students effectively
    • Follows and teaches safety rules and procedures
    • Completes skill cards and attendance in a timely basis
    • Communicates with parents calmly, effectively, and informatively
    • Attends all meets and clinics as assigned
    • Wears SGA attire and shows professional conduct in all work situations
    • Supports supervisor as assigned
    • Manages emergencies calmly and proficiently
    • Cleans facility as assigned
    • Makes consistent progress toward obtaining credentials/certifications
    • Participates in National Gymnastics Day and supports at least one other event annually
    • Supportive in developing Junior Coaches/Instructors; sharing knowledge
    • Recruits gymnasts from with SGA Programs
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • 3+ years experience coaching Compulsory and Optional level teams
    • USAG Safety Certification and Background check
    • Knowledge of USAG code of points for Compulsory and Optional levels
    • Extensive knowledge and experience in USAG code of points for appropriate level
    • Knowledge of spotting safely and effectively
    • Ability to teach shaping on vault, bars and floor for levels 3-10
    • First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire
    • Knowledge of skill progression for appropriate levels
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • The ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
    • Capable of demonstrating a handstand and cartwheel or be willing to learn
    • Hand-eye coordination
    • The ability to work on uneven surfaces as is deemed necessary to walk out on the gymnastics floor
    • Spotting and lifting athletes of various ages and sizes
    • Good manipulation skills to operate computers and office equipment or perform recreational training, instruction and coaching
