Responsibilities
- Follows SGA Mission, Vision and Values
- Teaches Ballet technique, Contemporary, and/or Jazz dance to gymnasts
- Ability to adapt based on gymnasts needs
- Follows and teaches safety rules and procedures
- Completes skill cards and attendance in a timely basis
- Communicates with all parents calmly, effectively, and informatively
- Attends all clinics as assigned
- Supportive in developing the Specialty program; sharing knowledge
- Wears SGA attire and shows professional conduct in all work situations
- Supports supervisor as assigned
- Manages emergencies calmly and proficiently
- Cleans facility as assigned
- Makes consistent progress toward obtaining credentials/certifications
- Participates in National Gymnastics Day and supports at least one other event annually
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience teaching Ballet and Jazz or Contemporary
- Has STRONG ballet technique
- Knowledge of dance skill progression for appropriate levels
- USAG Safety Certification within 30 days of hire
- Background check
- First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire
Physical Requirements
- The ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Hand-eye coordination
- The ability to work on uneven surfaces as is deemed necessary to walk out on the gymnastics floor
- Good manipulation skills to operate computers and office equipment or perform recreational training, instruction and coaching
