Columbia City started off with our level 6 Sam Sleight. This became her highest scoring competition so far this season. She received 2nd AA, 1st on Vault, 2nd on Bars and 3rd on floor. Annie Murray and Olivia Lee competed second. They both were battling sickness the week before but were still able to execute their full routines in Arizona. This was Livvy’s first competition participating in all events and qualified to state. Eleanor Hindmarsh and Violet Faull competed next, representing our level 3 team. They both improved over 2.0 points in their all-around from the last meet. Eleanor earned 1st on floor. The level 5s ended our first day of competition with positive attitudes from everyone. Kaelee Wong eared 2nd AA, 2nd on vault, 1st on bars, and 2nd on floor. Addie McLaughlin earned 3rd on floor and Lily Peterman earned 2nd on bars.
Shima True, our only level 8 competed on Saturday, she was also battling sickness the week before. Her and Jazzy from Ballard were able to compete together to represent SGA.
The level 4s competed last on Sunday. They all improved so much on vault from the last competition and were happy to stand on the podium for individual events. Lauren Supnet earned 2nd on vault, 1st on beam and 2nd on floor. Maggie Huey earned 3rd AA, 3rd on vault, 1st on beam and 2nd on floor. Sydney Klein rocked her vault and earned 1st in her age division for the first time this season.
