    Learning Gymnastics at SGA

    Is your child interested in gymnastics and learning skills such as cartwheels and handstands? This is the perfect place to start! Classes in our Learn programming tier are geared toward the recreationally focused child ages 2 years to adult!

    The focus of our Learn programming is on developing strength, confidence and movement through gymnastics training. Our USA Gymnastics certified staff will work in a safe and positive atmosphere on breaking down skills into small components to achieve success.

    Our classes run year round and SGA has a variety of programs and classes to fit schedules and needs. It is never too late to start!

    LEARN GYMNASTICS FOR FITNESS || Adults

    Age: 18 yrs - 99 yrs

    Learn: This class provides a unique opportunity for you to use gymnastics skills, drills and conditioning as the exercises to enhance and add variety to your fitness lifestyle. SGA’s unique facility allows you to progress safely throughout your personalized workout plan.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS CONDITIONING || Adults

    Age: 18 yrs - 99 yrs

    Learn: This class provides an opportunity for you to utilize the variety of surfaces and apparatuses in a gymnastics gym to offer unique exercises with safe progressions that a normal gym cannot. This is a personalized class to focus on your own goals, from increasing strength and stability to flexibility to enhance your functional fitness and overall wellness.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS FLOW || Adults

    Age: 18 yrs - 99 yrs

    Learn: This class provides a unique yoga experience by infusing gymnastics elements to challenge your yoga practice. Extraordinary gymnastics equipment helps to upgrade transitions from each pose to enhance stability, focus and body awareness.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS RHYTHM || Adults

    Age: 18 yrs - 99 yrs

    Learn: This class provides a creative, energetic and acrobatic style of dance. Explore your body’s rhythm by combining gymnastics skills, strength and balance with a variety of foot work, power moves and body freezes to create new movements.

    LEARN ARTISTRY OF GYMNASTICS || Adults

    Age: 18 yrs - 99 yrs

    Learn: This class provides an opportunity for you to focus on the artistic aspect of gymnastics to help refine muscles, increase posture, coordination and flexibility. Increase your balance, grace and muscle tone by combining gymnastics leaps, turns and jumps with ballet basics to enhance joint stability and proprioception.

    LEARN FLIP & FITNESS 1 || Co-ed 8-18Y

    Age: 8 yrs - 18 yrs

    LEARN: This class will focus on developing correct Somersaults, Handstands & Cartwheels. Tumblers will work on connecting these skills & also learn Front & Back-handsprings, & flipping skills.  All Tumbling classes train on the Floor Exercise as well. 90 minutes a week.

    LEARN AUTONOMY || Co-ed 2.5-3Y

    Age: 2.5 yrs - 3 yrs

    LEARN: This class is designed for gymnasts to learn how to be comfortable with and follow the directions of a coach without a parent out on the floor. Young gymnasts will begin the following: rolling, hanging, jumping and gymnastics body shapes with out the assistance of a parent. 45 minutes a week.

    LEARN FLIP & FITNESS 2 || Co-ed 8-18Y

    Age: 8 yrs - 18 yrs

    LEARN: This class is focused on developing correct somersaults, handstands, and cartwheels. Tumblers will work on connecting these skills in addition to learning front and back handsprings and flipping skills. 90 minutes a week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 1 || Boys 6Y

    Age: 6 yrs - 6 yrs

    LEARN: A introductory boys gymnastics class with focus on proper skill progression and fundamental strength development. These gymnasts work on all 6 Olympic men’s events, including trampoline, Tumbl Trak and foam pit. 60 minutes a week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 1 || Boys 7-10Y

    Age: 7 yrs - 10 yrs

    LEARN: An introductory boys gymnastics class with focus on proper skill progression and fundamental strength development. These gymnasts work on all 6 Olympic men’s events, including trampoline, Tumbl Trak and foam pit. 60 minutes a week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 1 || Girls 6-7Y

    Age: 6 yrs - 7 yrs

    LEARN: This class introduces beginning gymnasts to all 4 Olympic women’s events including trampoline, Tumbl Trak and foam pit. Between working basic body shapes and balance, girls will also begin to gain strength and flexibility. Gymnasts will also begin sequencing skills together to form routines.  60 minutes a week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 1 || Girls 8-12Y

    Age: 8 yrs - 12 yrs

    LEARN: This class introduces beginning gymnasts to all 4 Olympic women’s events including trampoline, Tumbl Trak and foam pit. Between working basic body shapes and balance, girls will also begin to gain strength and flexibility. Gymnasts will also begin sequencing skills together to form routines.  60 minutes a week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 2 || Boys 5-6Y

    Age: 5 yrs - 6 yrs

    LEARN: This class is designed for beginning level gymnasts who have completed Learn Gymnastics 1 or have been assessed in. These gymnasts work on all 6 Olympic men’s events, including trampoline, Tumbl Trak and foam pit. 60 minutes per week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 2 || Boys 7-10Y

    Age: 7 yrs - 10 yrs

    LEARN: This class is designed for beginning level gymnasts who have completed Learn Gymnastics 1 or have been assessed in. These gymnasts work on all 6 Olympic men’s events, including trampoline, Tumbl Trak and foam pit. 60 minutes a week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 2 || Girls 5-7Y

    Age: 5 yrs - 7 yrs

    LEARN: This class is designed for beginning level gymnasts who have completed Learn Gymnastics 1 or have been assessed in. These gymnasts work on all 4 Olympic women’s events, including trampoline, Tumbl Trak and foam pit. Gymnasts will continue sequencing skills together to form routines. 60 minutes a week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 2 || Girls 8-12Y

    Age: 8 yrs - 12 yrs

    LEARN: This class is designed for beginning level gymnasts who have completed Learn Gymnastics 1 or have been assessed in. These gymnasts work on all 4 Olympic women’s events, including trampoline, Tumbl Trak and foam pit. Gymnasts will continue sequencing skills together to form routines. 60 minutes a week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 3 || Boys 7-15Y

    Age: 7 yrs - 15 yrs

    LEARN: Intermediate & advanced beginner boys interested in an accelerated recreational class or preparation for the boys team. This class expands the recreational curriculum by adding 30 minutes of strength and gymnastics skills per class. 90 minutes a week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 3 || Girls 6-12Y

    Age: 6 yrs - 12 yrs

    LEARN: This class is designed for girls who have completed Learn Gymnastics 2 or have been assessed in. Gymnasts work on improving skills, strength and flexibility using drills and conditioning on all 4 Olympic women’s events. Gymnasts will continue sequencing skills together to form routines. 90 minutes a week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 4 || Boys 7-15Y

    Age: 7 yrs - 15 yrs

    LEARN: This advanced recreational competition class is geared toward boys who enjoy a physical challenge and are ready to start working on harder skills. Gymnasts are able to spend more time on each event and are introduced to skills requiring strength, flexibility, balance and agility. 2 hours a week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 4 || Girls 6-12Y

    Age: 6 yrs - 12 yrs

    LEARN: This class is designed for girls who want to take their learning to the next level. Gymnasts are able to spend more time on each event and are introduced to skills requiring strength, flexibility, balance and agility. Gymnasts will continue sequencing skills together to form individual routines. 2 hours a week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 5 || Boys 7-15Y

    Age: 7 yrs - 15 yrs

    LEARN: This advanced recreational competition class is geared toward boys who enjoy a physical challenge and are ready to start working on harder skills. Gymnasts are able to spend more time on each event and are introduced to skills requiring strength, flexibility, balance and agility. Gymnasts will continue sequencing skills together to form individual routines. 2 times weekly, 90 minutes per class.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 5 || Girls 6-12Y

    Age: 6 yrs - 12 yrs

    LEARN: This class is for girls to elevate their level of gymnastics. Skills practiced on floor will move up onto balance beams and bars will really begin to test each gymnast’s strength. Gymnasts will continue sequencing skills together to form individual routines. 2 hours a week.

    LEARN GYMNASTICS 6 || Girls 6-12Y

    Age: 6 yrs - 12 yrs

    LEARN: This class is the last class in our recreational gymnastics program. It will continue to challenge the girls strength-wise, as well as motivate them to learn more difficult skills. 2 times weekly, 2 hours per class.

    LEARN SKILLS 1 || Boys 5Y

    Age: 5 yrs - 5.5 yrs

    LEARN: This class introduces beginning gymnasts to all 6 Olympic men’s events including trampoline, Tumbl Trak and foam pit. Between working basic body shapes and balance, boys will also begin to gain strength and flexibility. 60 minutes a week.

    LEARN SKILLS 2 || Boys 4-5Y

    Age: 4 yrs - 5 yrs

    60 minutes a week. A boys gymnastics class with focus on proper skill progression and fundamental strength development. Invitation only/Tryout Required.

    LEARN SKILLS || Boys 3-4Y

    Age: 3 yrs - 4 yrs

    LEARN: A class for young boy gymnasts to develop refined motor skills, strength and flexibility for advanced gymnastics skills such as the handstand and cartwheel. Gymnasts will begin to work on all 6 Olympics men’s events including Trampoline, Tumbl Trak and foam pit. 45 minutes a week.

    LEARN SKILLS || Co-ed 3Y

    Age: 3 yrs - 4 yrs

    LEARN: This class is where children begin to learn the basic gymnastics body shapes. This class will focus on balancing, jumping, rolling, and hanging while also working on coordination, strength and flexibility. 45 minutes a week.

    LEARN SKILLS || Co-ed 4Y

    Age: 4 yrs - 4 yrs

    LEARN: This class is where children continue to work on basic gymnastics shapes. This class will focus on balancing, jumping, rolling, and hanging while also working on coordination, strength and flexibility. 45 minutes a week.

    LEARN SKILLS || Girls 5Y

    Age: 5 yrs - 5 yrs

    LEARN: This class introduces beginning gymnasts to all 4 Olympic women’s events including trampoline, Tumbl Trak and foam pit. Between working basic body shapes and balance, girls will also begin to gain strength and flexibility. 60 minutes a week.

    LEARN TOGETHER || Co-ed 18M-3Y

    Age: 18 mo - 3 yrs

    LEARN: This class is designed for parents and children to work with coaches on the floor to develop the physical, mental and social side of class participation. Toddlers will explore body movement, coordination and balance while utilizing special gymnastics equipment designed for small sizes. 45 minutes a week.

    LEARN TRAMP & TUMBLING 1 || BOYS 6 – 12Y

    Age: 6 yrs - 12 yrs

    LEARN: This is a beginning class for boys who want to learn to tumble using the floor and trampolines. 60 minutes per week.

    LEARN TRAMP & TUMBLING 1 || GIRLS 6 – 12Y

    Age: 6 yrs - 12 yrs

    LEARN: This is a beginning class for girls who want to learn to tumble using the floor and trampolines. 60 minutes per week.

    LEARN TRAMP & TUMBLING 2 || BOYS 6 – 12Y

    LEARN: This is an intermediate class for boys who want to learn to tumble using the floor and trampolines. Gymnast must have completed Learn Tramp & Tumbling 1 or have been assessed in. 60 minutes per week.

    LEARN TRAMP & TUMBLING 2 || GIRLS 6 – 12Y

    Age: 6 yrs - 12 yrs

    LEARN: This is an intermediate class for girls who want to learn to tumble using the floor and trampolines. Gymnast must have completed Learn Tramp & Tumbling 1 or have been assessed in.  60 minutes per week.

    LEARN TRAMP & TUMBLING 3 || CO-ED 6 – 12Y

    Age: 6 yrs - 12 yrs

    LEARN: This class is designed for intermediate and advanced class for boys and girls who want to learn to tumble using the floor and trampolines.  Gymnasts must have completed Learn Tramp & Tumbling 2 or have been assessed in. 90 minutes per week.

    LEARN TRAMP & TUMBLING 4 || CO-ED 6 – 12Y

    Age: 6 yrs - 12 yrs

    LEARN: This class is designed for  advanced class for boys and girls who want to learn to tumble using the floor and trampolines.  Gymnasts must have completed Learn Tramp & Tumbling 3 or have been assessed in. 2 hours per week.

    LEARN TRAMP & TUMBLING TEENS 1 || CO-ED 12-17Y

    Age: 12 yrs - 17 yrs

    LEARN: This is a beginning class for teens who want to learn to tumble using the floor and trampolines. 60 minutes per week.

    LEARN TRAMP & TUMBLING TEENS 2 || CO-ED 12-17Y

    Age: 12 yrs - 17 yrs

    LEARN: This is a intermediate class for teens who want to learn to tumble using the floor and trampolines.  Gymnasts must have completed Learn Tramp & Tumbling Teens 1 or have been assessed in. 60 minutes per week.

    LEARN TRAMPOLINE || CO-ED 3Y

    Age: 3 yrs - 3 yrs

    LEARN:This class was specifically designed for kids who are constantly on the move! Trampoline fundamentals are introduced as well as fun & challenging drills and games. Children will learn body control, spatial awareness, and how to follow instruction. 45 minutes per week.

    LEARN TRAMPOLINE || CO-ED 4Y

    Age: 4 yrs - 4 yrs

    LEARN: This class was specifically designed for kids who are constantly on the move! Trampoline fundamentals are introduced as well as fun & challenging drills and games. Children will learn total body control, spatial awareness, and how to follow instruction. 45 minutes per week.

    LEARN TUMBLING 1 || Boys 6-12Y

    Age: 6 yrs - 12 yrs

    LEARN: This class is focused on developing correct somersaults, handstands, and cartwheels. Tumblers will work on connecting these skills in addition to learning front and back handsprings and flipping skills. 60 minutes per week.
