We have an exciting new addition to Indoor Playground at Lake City! We are proud to introduce Sensory Playground; a drop-in, indoor play opportunity for kids with diverse sensory, attention, and social needs. Possible disabilities include, but are not limited to: ADHD, autism, Asperger’s, Down Syndrome, developmental delays, or any child that may find indoor playground on our busy days a bit too overwhelming. Coach Kayla, who taught our Sensory Integration class, will be hosting! 

Sensory Playground will be a true open gym, with the whole north side of the gym to play on, and also with some extra sensory stations and activities set up – like fine motor skills games and lots of balancing equipment. 
Sensory Playground will take place every Saturday from 1:00-2:00pm, for ages 6-11 (and must be accompanied by an adult caregiver). We will allow any child with special needs and their siblings to attend within the age range (if you have a child outside of this range, please call us to discuss.).

Online pre-registration is available, however we ask that you please call us (206.362.7447) before your first enrollment so that we can understand your child’s needs, at which time we will give you a password for subsequent online registration. As with all indoor playgrounds, these are single-session activities that you may attend as often as you like. Our same health & safety protocols will be in place for Sensory Playground.

Please note Sensory Playground replaces our previously offered recreational Sensory Integration class, to align more closely with the flexible scheduling needs of our current / potential students and their families.
