Rachel
Teacher Rachel is the Director of Seattle Preschool + Pre-K. She has worked for SGA for over 12 years in many capacities – but it was in the preschool she found her passion.
In 2011, Rachel received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and knew that she wanted her future to belong to a quality academic program that incorporated social-emotional and physical development. She has spent the last six years leading both the Pre-K and Preschool groups, writing the curriculum, and designing a physical education program that incorporates gymnastics, games and movement. Her goal is to provide an individualized approach to each child’s experience and a strong community for all families. Her favorite part of working with children is the fact that every day is a new and exciting challenge!
In addition to her time in the classroom, Rachel coaches gymnastics, runs the Summer and Winter Camps, and is the Site Leader at our Lake City 28th location.
Rachel is originally from the East side of the Mountains but moved to Seattle 20 years ago to enjoy all that the PNW has to offer. Before teaching, Rachel pursued a degree and career in culinary arts and still has a passion for cooking and baking. Rachel lives in Mukilteo with her husband Matt, her son Andrew and her two dogs Pig and Jo.
