A Letter from Coach Israel from SGA Ballard:

We are thrilled that the 2025 competition season has officially begun! Our first competition was Battle in Bellevue, in Washington. Our teams have been diligently preparing since July, with a clear goal of starting the season off on the best possible foot. Above all, we are prioritizing the safety and self-esteem of our gymnasts, ensuring that their well-being takes precedence over technical results.

Quality and effort are essential, and as a team, we have committed to equipping our gymnasts with the physical, technical, and psychological tools they need to overcome challenges during competitions. We want them not only to succeed, but also to build resilience in the face of difficulties. Something they can, and will, carry with them throughout the course of their life.

As the Head Coach of Ballard, I am deeply inspired by the technical growth and unwavering dedication of our coaching staff. Their passion for improvement and their commitment to delivering quality training sessions are evident every day. I have immense confidence in their expertise and their ability to guide our gymnasts toward success. Together, we’ve worked hard to respect the phases of training necessary for gymnasts to develop their skills correctly and progressively, leading up to the peak of the competitive season.

One of our primary focuses has been enhancing physical performance. By improving our gymnasts’ endurance and strength, we ensure they can concentrate on the finer details during competitions rather than being hindered by the stress of fatigue. Additionally, we have emphasized creating warm-ups that are not only artistic, but also effective. This sets the tone for polished and confident performances.

Furthermore, we have made a significant effort to develop the artistic and expressive side of our gymnasts, ensuring their routines are not only technically sound, but also captivating to watch. This focus allows them to enjoy their routines more fully, bringing joy and confidence to their performance. Along with excitement to all who watch them thrive out on the floor.

Battle in Bellevue was a testament to the fruits of this challenging labor. The teamwork displayed by our coaches and athletes was nothing short of exceptional! It’s an honor to lead a group of professionals and gymnasts so dedicated to improve. We look forward to continuing this journey throughout the 2025 season.
