Ballard & Lake City Xcel Teams at Go for the Gold
The weekend of 2/28-3/2 the Ballard & Lake City Xcel Teams were at Go for the Gold (while Columbia City and Lake City were at the Cascadian Team Challenge!)!
BALLARD:
Coach Melia: “The girls are really shining at this point in the season! Their skills are looking more clean and confident with every meet. We had so many girls with smiles on their faces, stuck routines, and improved scores! One more meet before state and I know we will continue to show up with such grace and poise. Shoutout to Victoria for competing in her first XCEL meet, Silvers for placing first, and Bronzes for placing second! You continue to impress us so much!”
Coach Israel: “I’m very happy with the results at Platinum. I see the team getting stronger and more motivated each time. This time, they attempted new skills, and we saw exceptional scores on bars! We still have work to do before the state meet, but we’re on an excellent path! I’m so proud of each and every one of these girls!”
Coach Lauryn: “What a golden performance from our gymnasts at the Go for the Gold meet! Special kudos to Adina, Ruby, and Clara for first place all around and our silver time for taking home first place as well! Only one more meet this weekend before we head to State Championships!”
Coach Nina: “Go for the Gold was a great meet, and I am so proud of the gymnasts and all of the hard work they put into their routines! I cannot wait for the next two meets, and to see the progress that is made!”

LAKE CITY:
Coach Israel said: “I’m very happy that several more gymnasts have qualified for the state competition and achieved their goal! The team always supports and motivates each other, and that fills me with so much pride!”
Coach Annika said: “We had an awesome time at the Go for the Gold meet! Our Bronze team did excellent at upgrading their beam routines, and showcasing some beautiful bar routines. It’s back to back meets, so we’re all working hard to keep the energy up, especially with NGA right around the corner! We’re dreaming of great gymnastics that will bring big winnings this weekend, good luck girls!”
Yay teams, you deserve all these kudos and more. You make us so proud, we are cruising into this last bit of the regular season!
