    SGA BURIEN PARKING INFORMATION

SGA Burien is located at 15840 1st Ave S, Burien, WA 98148 inside the Five Corners Shopping Center next to the PCC Community Markets. Parking spaces in the main parking field of the shopping center directly in front of the PCC Community Market are considered restricted parking and may not be used for SGA drop offs, pick ups or waiting visitors.

The space directly in front of SGA’s main entrance at the front of the building is also designated as a “No Drop Off / Parking Area”.

    FACILITY INFORMATION FOR ENROLLED FAMILIES

We have a dedicated drop off / pick up zone located at the back of the facility and strongly encourage families (with children age 5 +) to use this as the main student entrance. This is a one-way zone and must be accessed from behind Trader Joe’s.Once your student has been dropped off, you may proceed to the front of the shopping center to park and enter the facility using the entrance at the front of the building.

    Student Check-in & Pick-up Procedures

Upon arrival for each class, enter the gymnast’s name on the tablets provided at the student check-in stations located at the facility entrances. Student attendance is a crucial part of our operations, and we thank you for ensuring it is completed for every class.

    • We ask that adults complete the check-in process for our younger gymnasts to ensure attendance is accepted and accurate for all students.
    • Students who are dropped off or do not have an adult present, will be required to self-check-in prior to class.
    • If you arrive more than 30 minutes after class has started, please check-in directly with the Member Services Staff at the front desk.

After class, students should connect with their adult and exit the facility through the entrance at the front of the building. If you wish to pick-up your student at the back of the facility through the drop off / pick up zone, please inform the front desk in advance to make sure your child is directed to the appropriate location after class. Please note: The drop off / pick up zone is a “No Waiting / Parking Zone” and must be kept clear for those actively dropping off / picking up students.

Thank you for your cooperation and compliance to this important facility procedure.

    SGA ENROLLMENT POLICIES & PROCEDURES
    One-time membership fee

We have a one-time family registration fee of $55. This is a lifetime registration fee and will never need to be paid again.

    Monthly pricing for classes

Monthly costs for classes is based on the total number of hours each gymnast spends in classes per week.

    Current rates & fees

    Continuous enrollment

Continuous enrollment allows gymnasts to start and end classes any month, no sessions to wait for. Once registered, your class slot is guaranteed until your gymnast is promoted, you choose to move to a different day/time, or you choose to drop.

    Auto-pay

At the time of enrolling, we will ask for a bank or card account number and get consent for automatic monthly payments. Your automatic payment will be processed on the 20th of the month for the next month’s tuition. For example: October’s classes will be billed on September 20th.

Late fees & return payment fees

A late fee of $25 will be applied for any fees not paid by the 25th of the month. An NSF fee of $35 will be applied for any returned payments or bank drafts. Any fees not paid by the 1st of the month will result in immediate cancellation and removal from the program.

    Missed Classes

While we hope gymnasts and their families try their best to attend classes whenever they are able – that’s part of learning dedication and discipline – we understand life happens and for a number of reasons, classes are missed from time to time. And so, SGA provides resources to help gymnasts retain momentum and physical activity while they are out of the gym.

    Class Withdrawal

If for any reason you decide to discontinue a class, please fill out a Drop Request Form and return it to the front desk by the 1st of the final month you wish to participate in class. Verbal drop requests are not accepted.

For more information, please review all of SGA’s enrollment policies.

    WAITLIST INFORMATION
Because we run a continuous enrollment system and not sessions, new gymnasts are welcome to join at any time of year! However, some classes will be full and new families may need to join a waitlist to receive a class space.

Joining waitlists and being new at SGA

SGA believes it’s important to keep class sizes smaller, in order to keep instruction quality high. Therefore, some classes will already be full and not available to immediately join. When classes are full, we offer waitlists to join when a spot is available (you will see a waitlist option in the online enrollment platform). A family may join up to three class waitlists at any given time.

    How waitlist spots are offered

We prioritize our waitlist on three levels:

    1. First, open positions are offered to students awaiting a promotion (whether this be a preschool gymnast moving to the next age group, or a gymnast moving to the next level, i.e., from Gymnastics 1 to Gymnastics 2).
    2. Next, if open spots remain after promoted students are contacted, we contact currently enrolled students needing to change their day or time of class due to scheduling conflicts.
    3. Finally, we offer openings to new families.

It is important to understand that we contact every family in the same priority level at the same time, meaning, all families awaiting a promotion are notified at the same time when a spot is available, and is then filled on a first come, first served basis.

How waitlist class openings are notified, and how to claim a spot

When a space becomes available in a class, each of the priority levels (as listed above) are contacted at the same time via email, and for those with the SGA app, a real-time push notification.

If you would like to claim the spot, you will need to call us as soon as possible, as spots are filled on a first come, first served basis. At this time, we are not able to accept email replies.

    Waitlist waiting times

It is difficult to provide a duration a family will spend on a waitlist, as it greatly depends on the demand for that particular age / skill level, or the day or time as some are more popular than others (i.e., classes immediately after schooltime are typically more full than later in the evening).

This said, our Member Services Teams are constantly working to move students and clear waitlists as much as possible. They can also help better advise what you can expect on a particular waitlist, and if there is an option with a probable lesser wait-time available. You can always contact us with any questions or to discuss options.

It is our top priority to get new gymnasts placed into an appropriate class that fits a family’s needs as soon as possible.

    SGA BURIEN IS HIRING!

If you, or someone you know is interested in joining our Burien team, we’re hiring Member Service Coordinators, and coaches of all levels, including new.
