Columbia City & Burien Xcel Teams at Cascadian Team Challenge

The weekend of 2/28, our Columbia City and Burien teams were at the Cascadian Team Challenge (while Ballard and Lake City were at Go for the Gold!)!

COLUMBIA CITY:

Coach Jayme said: “This was a really great meet for us. The girls were really locked in and brought their best and it showed in their performances. They were super fun to watch and it’s been really great to watch them improve in their gymnastics and their confidence at meets. We’re super proud of them and all their hard work!”

BURIEN:

Coach Nikita said: “Another meet down! I can’t believe that there is only one more month left in our competition season. Time sure does fly when you are having this much fun!

“Cascadian Team Challenge was another fun one. This was the first meet where all of our gymnasts were able to attend. I am glad they could all make it, especially on a Thursday. I was curious how this meet would go as most of the girls did have school before the meet. It did not phase them one bit. They rocked it! We had some beautiful bar routines and great handstands on the balance beam. Both of our Bronzes, Camille and Renata, had their best all-around scores yet, despite the judges being extra tough this week. Maya’s front tuck flew higher then ever! And Sloane competed her aerial for the first time and nailed it! I am so proud of all of you ladies. Keep up the good work at school and in the gym. Skookum Showdown is just around the corner. You got this!”
