NGA Washington State Coach of the Year: Coach Israel!

We have a COACH OF THE YEAR! At NGA (National Gymnastics Association) Nationals, each state nominates coaches for the “coach of the year” award, and one coach is chosen per state. And this year, it was our very own Coach Israel from SGA Ballard.

Coach Ashlyn, our Ballard site leader and Women’s Team Coordinator said: “Israel came to SGA a year and a half ago. With him he brought experience and knowledge of the sport, but most importantly he brought compassion. Israel has worked hard to build relationships with his athletes and to make them feel supported, respected and valued. His work has not always been easy, but he continues with a smile on his face everyday.”

Well said, Coach Ashlyn. And congratulations Coach Israel, we are so fortunate to have you, thank you for all your hard work and commitment to our gymnasts! We appreciate you, and, well, you totally rock! 💙💚
