BALLARD:
Coach Melia said: “Congratulations again to the silvers for another amazing meet! I was so impressed by their overall attitude, poise, and teamwork! They’ve continued to be so adaptive and respectful as we go through coaching transitions. The group stays very consistent and looks more confident by the day. Katie and I are so proud of you! As we move forward we will keep working on form and precision while balancing keeping our bodies healthy for the rest of season.”
Coach Lauryn said: “What a sweet success Candyland Invitational was! Our gymnasts brought their A-game and shined through all of their events. We’re so proud of their hard-work and perseverance. We’re back at the gym this week to fine-tuning our technique and get ready to compete at Go for the Gold!”
Coach Ashlyn said: “Specific Kudos: Nora for fighting hard and being creative to save a fall on bars. Sophia for persevering through nerves on floor and remembering to hit all her required skills. All the girls for being on top of quickly following directions to make sure our team was efficient with our time and ready for the judges!”
The Coaches want to give kudos for:
⚡️ Cameron and Melia’s group sticking 10/11 beam routines!
❣️ Isla and Milena winning all around!
🤗 Isla getting two special judge awards for best split jump on beam and stick on vault!
💪 Iris for competing after a long recovery!

Coach Annika said: “We always have a great time at the CandyLand meet, and this year was no exception! Every meet has its ups and downs, but we hope all of these gymnasts have something to be proud of, because as coaches, we are proud of them. We are looking forward to our next two back-to-back competitions, and finishing up our regular season meets!”
Coach Misa said: “Candyland is always a favorite amongst the gymnasts. This was a great meet for all of our gymnast. The Bronze team brought home 4th, Silvers were 2nd, and Diamonds placed 3rd!
Our next meet is fast approaching, so we are putting in some work!”

Coach Nikita said: “Back to it with our second meet of the season! We had a month to prepare for Candyland Invitational after our first competition, which gave us a lot of time to work on our routines. Our vaults have improved so much this last month, which is an event we have been struggling with. I think all of the gymnasts are starting to feel more comfortable and confident with vault and it is starting to show! We also made it through the meet with no falls on bars! How great is that?! The girls seemed to be having a great time and looked so relaxed out there! That defiantly helps when it comes to their performance. We wrapped up Candyland with our Bronze team placing 3rd and our Sliver’s took home the gold! We also had 13 all-around and event placements 5th place or higher! Another fun meet! And so much candy!
As a coach, I am so glad to be back out on the competition floor. This is defiantly my favorite part of the job. I am so proud of all our Xcel gymnasts. Keep up the good work ladies! Our next two meets are coming up fast. Looking forward to the rest of the season.”
